Engineers' Day 2011

Our sincere thanks to every one who attended the Engineers' Day Celebrations at Headquarters and at Divisions. 
On 15-9-2011, Rail Engineers of Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad and Hyderabad divisions gathered at Roof Top Auditorium, Sanchalan Bhavan, Secunderabad. Sr.DENs/West,North and South, Sr.DSO and DENs/Track and Bridges of Secunderabad division  have attended the function and gave their wishes to all the gathered SCREANs and wished that the SCREA should keep its pace ahead in achieving the demands of Rail Engineers. On the occasion, gathered engineers garlanded the photo of Sri Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, an eminent engineer of India on whose birth anniversary Engineers' day is being celebrated every year. Er.Kannan, Er.Viswanadham, Er.Chandrasekhar and Er.Baig addressed the gathering. A paper was presented on the Role of Rail Engineers in the Modernization of Track.  Er.A.K.Tyagi, Secretary Genl/AIREF and Er.Bobin Mohanty, GS/ECoREA sent their wishes to all the Rail Engineers of SCR on the auspicious day. Er.A.K.Tyagi in his message requested all Rail Engineers to participate in the mass rally being conducted on 16th and 17th October at New Delhi to show the unity of Engineers before the Railway administration to achieve our reasonable demand.

Engineers' Day Celebrations 2011

Dear SCREAns,

All of us are aware that the Birth Anniversay of Sri Mokshagundam Visveswaraya, an eminent engineer of India is being celebrated as Engineers' Day all over. It is an immense pleasure for me to announce that SCREA is celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Mokshagundam Visveswaraya, on 15-9-2011 from 16.00 Hrs., to 17.00 Hrs., at the roof top Auditorium on Sanchalan Bhavan, Secunderabad. On behalf of the South Central Railway Engineers' Association, I invite all Rail Engineers to attend the function and make it a grand success.  During the celebrations, Rail Engineers are invited to present a paper on the ROLE OF ENGINEERS TOWARDS MODERNIZATION OF RAILWAYS. All interested engineers can submit their papers at least an hour in advance, so as to plan the programme accordingly. 

Please motivate and mobilize all Rail Engineers to show our unity and strength.

Executive committee meeting

Dear Engineers
As scheduled, Zonal Executive committee meeting was held on 20.4.11. Items of agenda were discussed as proposed. Members have conveyed their wishes to Er.K.V.Ramana and wished that he shall face success at every pace of his new assignment. Er.K.Chandrasekhara Rao, SSE/Electrical was co-opted as Addl General Secretary/SCREA in place of Er.K.V.Ramana. Er.K.Sudhakar proposed the name of Er.K.Chandrasekhara Rao which was seconded by Er.M.S.A.Baig. It was decided that Er.A.Kannan, Er.K.L.V.S, Er.B.B.Sharma and Er.Sanjay Srivastav shall proceed to Bhopal to attend the CEC and AGC.

Branch Executive Committee Meeting

Dear SCREAns
An executive committee meeting is proposed on 20.04.2011 (Wednesday) evening at 17.30 hrs., in the lawns of Rail Nilayam, opposite to Reservation extension counter to facilitate Sri K.Venkata Ramana, SSE/C&W and Additional General Secretary/ SCREA, who has been promoted to Group B through GDCE. As a token of gratitude for the motivation given by him and to the services rendered by him for SCREA for the past one year, we shall bid him a honourable farewell. Meanwhile, the gap created by the promotion of Er.Venkata Ramana should be bridged by an appropriate replacement. Er.K.Chandra Sekhara Rao, SSE/ Electrical (ex.VI/Elec) is the appropriate person and can shoulder the responsibilities equally with Er.Ramana. Hence it is proposed to co-opt Sri K.Chandra Sekhara Rao (Rly.KCR) as Additional General Secretary of SCREA. All are requested to attend the meeting certain.

Depleting motivation

Dear SCREANs

I am appearing before you all after a long time through this blog. Reason is very simple. Lack of encouragement....Yes ! Though hard to say and bitter to hear, it is true. All of you are aware that an association cannot be run with a fistful of people. It requires bunch of fists joined together to achieve a goal and with a commitment. Unfortunately, the cadre of engineers' is failing every time due to lack of commitment. I do not blame any one for this failure but all are culpable. When one anticipates a loam of bread to eat, he should contribute right from ploughing the land to baking. Unfortunately, without any contribution we are cursing someone for not serving the bread.

All of you are aware that SCREA is formed a year back. Formally we have nominated central body and elections were conducted in BZA and GNT divisions. The start was with a great gallop. Later, the run has become crawling and about to come to a stop. This is very pathetic. Even after lapse of this time, initiation was not taken to form the division bodies from SC, GTL,HYB,NED. Construction organization have nominated a body for the time being.

Our brother engineer and Genl Secretary/ECoR, Er.Bobin Mohanty is giving us motivation at every minute and keeping our hopes alive that definitely our engineers of SCR will come forward and join hands to strengthen our association. We humbly request all our engineers to keep their promise made at the inaugural celebrations. "Every member engineer of the association shall motivate at least another two engineers and strengthen our association".

AIREF is planning to conduct Annual General Council Meeting on 22nd and 23rd of this month. Interested members may kindly forward their names to Er.Kannan or Viswanadham for further intimation to Er.Tyagi for arrangements. Atleast One engineer from each department apart from GS and President of SCREA shall attend the meeting to extend our support.

Also we are due to conduct our Annual General Body Meeting as we have completed One year. Before that, we should form all divisional bodies in place of nominated bodies and the division bodies should elect the Zonal Body. I request cooperation of all the members to expedite these formalities at the earliest. You are all aware that our's is a registered body and governs by Rules and regulations. 

Dear engineers, further we request all of you to enroll as members of the association. As you are all aware that we shall have to pay Affiliation fee and membership fee to AIREF and we are long due to pay that. All the active members who obtained membership books and collected membership fee may kindly be remitted urgently. Already financial year was over and new year is started. An account on the name of SCREA is opened with Andhra Bank, Marredpally Branch, Secunderabad. Members in possession of Books may please submit the statement of accounts with clear details of funds collected, expenditure made with purpose of expenditure, either to Er.A.Kannan, Er.K.L.V.S.Viswanadham or any Zonal office bearer with an intimation to President/Genl Secretary at the earliest.
